MASCOT has supplied Tim Coronel’s team and mechanics with workwear and safety footwear for several years. Workwear from MASCOT is of a high quality and extremely durable. During the Dakar, the mechanics work in demanding situations, and in weather that constantly changes. During an hour, the temperature can shift from -7 to +45 degrees. »It’s important for the mechanics that their workwear is both comfortable and easy to work in,« explains Media Manager for the Maxxis Dakar Team, Martijn van Oort. At MASCOT, we are proud to be the preferred supplier of workwear for the Maxxis Dakar Team.
MASCOT’s sponsorship includes trousers, shorts, T-shirts, soft shells, footwear, etc. for the entire team.
Dakar is an extreme, but adventurous race. Tim Coronel explains »you cannot predict what is going to meet you after the next curve or even in 100 meters. Dakar is not for everyone. You have to understand the terrain and trust yourself and your intuition. Else, you get lost.«
Starting from Buenos Aries, motorcycles, trucks, buggies and quads will race through the South American desert. 15 days of competing that demands a lot from the drivers as well as the cars.
During the Dakar 2015, MASCOT also supplied Tim Coronel’s team of mechanics with workwear.
